Flawed Chicken
Me and my chicken, Lunch. And Lunch is what she will be, if she doesn’t start laying some eggs.
I am skeptical of the claim that chickens are the real source of eggs. I think it’s all part of a Chicken Union plot to artificially inflate the value of the pulletariat.

We’ve had her since she was a chick, since about mid June; she hasn’t layed one yet.
If we don’t get an egg by mid spring, she’ll be a pet.

From my Animal Science studies I think I recall it should take around 21 weeks for commercial hens to start laying eggs. That’s about 5 months. Other breeds might take longer (around 8 months, I think), so she might start very soon! Glad you’re not planning on eating her for real – she’s really cute
