tardy penny pincher

I thought I would start up the Illustration Friday thing again and drew this guy for the subject “SAVE.” However, I didn’t get it posted in time. This week’s subject is “FAIL,” so I figured this would still be appropriate as I FAILED to get this guy submitted.

I also failed to draw his penny-pinching hand.

Famous Artist Disastered: Renoir

I think. From a sketch. It might be someone else – I’ll get my people to fact check that tomorrow. Tonight, my eyelids are saddled with the weight of palm trees and plant carts.

Inky sketch: Skinny #1

This is the second one at the Green Hill.

This is one of two pencil drawings that are on display at the Green Hill gallery in beautiful downtown Greensboro. The theme for the show is “portraits,” and they thought it would be a good idea to dedicate a wall for locals. Two 5×5 pics allowed per local. So go visit and express the desire to pay millions of dollars to own anything done by this hot new artist.

Thanks!

Instant deviation

I started this blog to focus on my inky scribblings, so of course I’ve started to really get into pencil. Over the next few days I’ll be posting some of my Graphite Smudgings.

33 – No Politics This Year

My 33rd birthday was yesterday, and I’ve decided that I’m going to do my best not to know who gets elected president, or any details leading up to that event.

Wish me luck.
